Terms of Service

EDORIVA is a marketplace connecting international students with verified current university students, graduates & working professionals (“Contributors”) for one-to-one video peer sessions. By creating an account or booking a session, you agree to these Terms of Service.

You must be at least 16 years old to use EDORIVA. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental or guardian consent to use the platform.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your login details with any third party. EDORIVA is not liable for any unauthorised access resulting from your failure to protect your account.

You agree to provide accurate and truthful information when creating your account and making bookings. Providing false information may result in account suspension or termination.

Sessions are booked through the EDORIVA platform and paid for in advance via Stripe. Prices are set for each session and displayed inclusive of the EDORIVA platform fee.

Full Refund — No Match: If EDORIVA is unable to match you with a suitable contributor for your chosen topic, university, or time slot, you will receive an automatic full refund within 5 business days.

24-Hour Cancellation Window: You may cancel any booking free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled session start time. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session are non-refundable unless the contributor fails to attend.

Contributor No-Show: If an contributor fails to join the session within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, you will automatically receive a full refund and the contributor will be flagged for review.

Post-Session Refund: If you believe a session did not meet reasonable expectations, you may request a refund within 24 hours of the session ending. Our Trust & Safety team will review the request and respond within 48 hours.

contributors must complete the 4-step verification process (university email, student ID, LinkedIn cross-check, and manual review) before their profile is made live on the platform.

Contributors agree to provide honest, first-hand guidance based on their genuine experience at their university. Contributors must not misrepresent their qualifications, grades, extracurricular activities, or any other aspect of their student experience.

Contributors are responsible for maintaining their availability calendar accurately. Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations will result in profile suspension or removal from the platform.

Contributors set their own session rates. EDORIVA retains a platform fee (displayed transparently during the booking process). Contributor earnings are paid out weekly via Stripe Connect to the bank account registered on the platform.

The following conduct is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination:

• Sharing personal contact information (phone number, personal email, social media handles) to circumvent the platform
• Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour towards any user
• Offering or soliciting services unrelated to university advisory (tutoring, essay writing, application ghostwriting)
• Creating multiple accounts or impersonating another user
• Attempting to manipulate reviews or ratings through fake bookings
• Sharing session content, screenshots, or recordings without the explicit consent of all parties
• Any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international law

EDORIVA reserves the right to investigate reported violations and take action at its sole discretion, including suspending or permanently removing accounts.

EDORIVA is a marketplace platform that facilitates connections between students and contributors. We do not employ contributors and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or quality of advice provided during sessions.

Contributors share personal experiences and opinions — their guidance does not constitute professional educational consulting, legal advice, or any form of guaranteed outcome. University admission decisions are made solely by the relevant institutions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EDORIVA’s total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid to EDORIVA in the 12 months preceding the claim.

EDORIVA is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of opportunity, or failure to gain university admission.

All content on the EDORIVA platform — including the website design, logos, text, graphics, and software — is the property of EDORIVA or its licensors and is protected by UK and international copyright law.

User-generated content (contributor profiles, reviews, session questions) remains the intellectual property of the respective user, but by submitting it you grant EDORIVA a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on the platform.

EDORIVA may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect.

Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you may close your account at any time.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the EDORIVA platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
